After working All day with little to show for it, I have decided that month one of any new job is basically posing – take it from someone who is in her nth new job within 2 years. I’m not flighty, I just have bad luck – or extremely good luck – depending on how you look at it. Every job I have had teaches me something new. I can start my business after I am done with my job hoping.
Which brings me to my next point – what is it about sales??? It really ticks me off! Its like the great brain-wash where you convince someone to buy something they don’t need to enrich the corporate coffers and get paid for enriching them. Of course the getting paid part if ok – but the whole notion of convincing someone to buy something needless; like noodles is beyond me. (so I don’t like noodles) Point is, if its essential, buy it. If not, why buy it? Same goes for the drinks that corrode your stomach lining and are targeted at teens- not alcohol, soda! Yea, think of that next time you are stocking the giant bottle of soda in your fridge – you are incurring a dental expense for the future. Watch your kids at 40 (if you live that long).
Well, I feel much better, having said that. Now I have to look forward to a busy weekend tomorrow. Hopefully, buy something I don’t need… till Monday comes and alas, work!
