sick me

I was sick recently - this i tell you - puts a lot of things in perspective. When i was not moaning and looking sad-eyed at being sick, i was contemplating death; how real and recent it can be. Aside from the melodrama, I am pulling through. Although a lot has changed for me..

My country is going through elections - another thing you do not want dominating day-time TV when you have to stay home sick. The whole election thing bores / annoys / frustrates me. Exaggerations, violence, strife, every avenue one can fathom to cheat the common citizen is being used. Very irritating.

As i mend, so does my disdain. Who can balme a sister.

The hate-job-mentality

Isn’t it amazing how many people these days are unsatisfied wit their jobs? Its like there is a mass exodus from the 8 to 5 mentality with more young guys wiling to have a go at it themselves. I find this ambitious; premature for some but ambitious. I’ve been working for about five years now and one consistent thing about employment is addiction to a regular income; I can bitch all I want about the job but when push comes to shove, we definitely stick with the job we are in… and only change jobs for more money, more enslavement to the system.. adage is “is I have to suffer, at least let me suffer for some real dough!”

Who said it’s a bad thing though? For my peace of mind, I shall work less when I have kids – I want to spend time with them or else this warped society will do it instead – and I shall have a serial criminal in my home or a homosexual! God forbid.
